Ford Mustang Wins Polk Automotive Loyalty Award
SOUTHFIELD, Michigan – Ford Mustang has been recognized as having the highest model loyalty in the Sports Car Segment for the 2008 model year in R. L. Polk & Co.’s Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards.*
In its 13th year, the Polk Automotive Loyalty Awards recognize manufacturers for superior owner loyalty performance. Loyalty is determined when a household who bought a new vehicle returns to market and buy or lease another new vehicle of the same model or make.
Over 8.3 million Mustangs have been sold since they debuted at the World’s Fair in 1964. This number stands as a testament to the passion instilled in every pony badge. Owners, enthusiasts and dreamers can all agree — Mustang is one of America’s truly iconic brands. And the 2010 Mustang takes its passion pedigree even further.
Ford designers took each classic Mustang design element and redefined it with a contemporary vision. From the iconic Mustang grille down the "hockey stick" sidelines, to the three-bar sequential rear turn-signals, these designers reconsidered everything, even introducing a redesigned Mustang badge. And just like that badge, the 2010 Mustang is bolder, more chiseled and ready to stand as an icon for today’s muscle car.
*According to Polk statistics for the Sports Car Category in the 2008 model year, Ford Mustang ranked highest by having the greatest percentage of households return to purchase or lease another Ford Mustang vehicle.
